Halo of the Madonna eBook Dina Rae Judy Thomas Reviews

In Halo of the Madonna we find out Kim and Joanna's mother Lydia Easterhouse's secrets or some of them anyway. Lydia stole Armaros' box of Heaven and hid it for many years without anyone knowing she was the one who took it. We also find out that Lydia was not as bad a person as her daughters thought she was. Lydia actually cared for her daughters and son very much. Lydia knew that Armaros' box of Heaven probably would harm him in some way otherwise he would not want it back so bad. She became very determined to learn whatever she needed in order to find out all about the box of Heaven and all of its secrets.

Lydia tried to teach her granddaughter Maria as much and all that she could before she died or was killed, her daughters didn't believe her. Maria is a very smart little girl who was always sort of chastising her grandmother with wanting to learn all about angels and demons. Lydia took her children and left her mother's home and bought her own. She worked and invested her money and eventually she was able to buy another home no one knew about where she could start a new life with her children and get away from her mother, Armaros and their religion.

I read Halo of the Damned and loved it very much. I then read Halo of the Nephilim and really and truly loved it even more. I can't wait for the next book in the Halo series and Halo of the Madonna is just as fantastic as book #1 and book #2 in the Halo series. Hopefully it will hold me over until the next book but I'm not counting on it. If you have not read Dina Rae's work then I suggest you do because she is one amazing writers. If you haven't read any of her work yet then you don't know what you are missing.
Ms. Rae paints a vivid picture to her nephilim series in which we learn more about Lydia Easterhouse, the main character's mother. I love the angel lore and Enoch references she uses in her Halo series. I can't wait for the next book...it is becoming an addiction!!
This was an extremely interesting prequel to The Halo Series. The characters are extremely vivid
and well put together from the very first pages of the book. I was completely wrapped up in the story from beginning to end. Some of the imagery was totally shocking (not a bad thing), but so vivid you swear you were completely in the head of the main character.
I'm extremely interested in the next books in this series as this story is completely unique from anything I've ever read before!
Halo of the Madonna is a really short prequel to the Halo Series.

A world of fallen angels, demons, and Nephilim.

You learn what really happened to Lydia, Kim and Joanna's mother.

You'll see just how despicable Armaros is and why Lydia broke from the families church of Fallen

Now Armaros, calling himself Andel Talistokov, is back.

Lydia hears his voice and learns he's set up shop in his headquarters at The Evil Empire, his advertising chain.

Perfect place to hide what he is, a fallen angel, and gather evil souls.

Lydia wonders if he knows where she is, knows what she stole from him?

She sets up safe guards, but who knows if he is coming after what is his, or when he'll come.

Lydia can't let him get the box and rushes to find a safe hiding place, while ensuring her daughters will be able to get to it.

Time is running out and she needs to come forward and tell her daughters everything, what they are, so they can prepare for what is sure to come.

I've been hoping to read about Lydia, to learn some of her story.

While this is really short and ends quite abruptly, it gives me answers to questions I had nagging me after I finished the first two books in this series.

Lydia was so brave, running away from the Fallen and trying to protect her children, while knowing she would be forever running and hiding.

She knew the day would come, the day when she would have to tell her children what they are and where they come from.

She just hopes she's not too late.

Even though I knew what was going to happen, I still was so afraid for Lydia and was immersed from beginning to end.

The author provided this book for my honest review. As I've read Halo of the Damned and Halo of the Nephilim, I would have gladly bought this. I've been wanting to know Lydia's story.
Halo of the Madonna is a welcome addition to the series. Dina brings the characters to life through her brilliant descriptions. For anyone with a passion for angels, demons, or the paranormal, this series is definitely worth the read.
If you had any doubt that Dina's Halo series would not hook you in, the read this prequel. After reading Halo of the Madonna, instinct made me want to get the next volume (Halo of the Damned). This author, has brought back classic horror and done tastefully. Still on edge? I bet you .99 cents you will enjoy this book.
